depression getting worse

Can anyone tell me, is poly life really that busy? Because I realised that I've been seeing lesser and lesser of my brother ever since he entered poly. Sometimes, I only see him once or twice a week when we are actually living under the same roof!

Foreign Bodies, a dance group in NYP that my brother has put his love, life and soul into. In the first place, this dance group was the main reason why he chose NYP. Since young, this brother of mine loves the stage. I remember how he always jumped at the chance to perform in school, whether it's Chinese New Year Celebration, Teachers' Day Celebration or whatever celebrations there were.

Standing at 1.88m at the age of 19 this year, he has a thinking of his own. All along, he does not like people to nag at him. I shall say, he enjoys freedom. After entering poly, he started coming home late almost everyday. It started with him reaching home at around 11pm and now, he will only reach home at after 12am.

With regards to this issue, Mum and Dad had a few quarrels. Dad will blame Mum for not calling my brother to get him to come home earlier, and if she does call, my brother will never answer the phone call. I'm not sure if it's on purpose or he really did miss that call. Mum and me had spoken with him a few times over this coming-home-late issue but it does not seems to help at all. Whenever we touch on this, he'll have lots of excuses saying he's busy with dance, preparing for competition. Dad is so upset that now, he's hardly talking to my brother. Sometimes I think, if brother is busy and coming home late because of studies, Dad will probably have nothing much to nag about.

My maternal side family had a plan to go to Desaru this Thursday for a short getaway. But brother just told Mum that he has decided not to go. Reason being, he's preparing for a competition! I can see the look of disappointment on Mum's face, but what can she do? I'm upset because this trip was decided more than 3 weeks ago! Oh well, all I can say is, this brother of mine, he's no longer the little kid brother that I used to have. He's now all grown up with a strong thinking of his own.

I just hope, he can stop and think for his family. A family that truly loves him. If only he understands so that Dad and Mum can stop worrying.

For the past few days, I've been following closely to the news for updates on Swine Flu. The more I know about it, the more afraid I am. Let me share on what I know about Swine Flu.

It is a respiratory disease normally found in pigs and caused by type A influenza viruses. While outbreaks of this type of flu are most common in pigs, human cases of Swine Flu do happen.

Humans with direct exposure to pigs are those most commonly infected with Swine Flu. Just as the common flu is passed along, Swine Flu is thought to be spread by coughing, sneezing, or touching something that has the live virus on it. If infected, a person may be able to infect another person one day before symptoms develop; therefore, a person is able to pass the flu on before they know they are sick. Infected individuals may spread the virus for seven or more days after becoming sick. Those with Swine Flu should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are showing symptoms, and up to seven days or longer from the onset of their illness. Children might be contagious for longer periods of time.

Symptoms of Swine Flu are similar to those of a regular flu: fever and chills, sore throat, cough, headache, body aches, and fatigue. Diarrhea and vomiting can also be present.

Symptoms in Children:
1) Fever with a rash
2) Dehydration
3) Fast breathing
4) Bluish skin coloration
5) Slow to wake or sluggish interaction
6) Flu-like symptoms improve, but then return and cough worsens
7) Severe irritability

Symptoms in Adults:
1) Difficulty breathing
2) Dizziness
3) Confusion
4) Severe or persistent vomiting
5) Pain or pressure in the chest or stomach

Those individuals who received the seasonal flu vaccine do not have added protection against the Swine Flu. The human H1N1 viruses are very different from the H1N1 viruses responsible for the recent outbreaks of Swine Flu. Therefore, a seasonal flu vaccine would not protect against the Swine Flu.

I suppose we cannot treat this issue lightly. I've just been informed that I need to wear a mask and gloves when working at the clinic. I think a discussion is going on to see if a gown is necessary. Boyfriend seems quite worried as I tend to fall sick easily, I am starting to get worried as well after knowing how contagious this Swine Flu is. Since the flu vaccine is not going to help, I think there's no point even if I get 10 jabs.

Let's just pray that it'll never come to Singapore!

my eyes went ♥_♥ when i saw this phone! LG KS360, love at first sight for me.
i think for Eunice as well.

i am tempted to get this phone,
the only thing that's stopping me is it can't store a lot of messages just like the rest of all LG phones? BUT! the design is so nice, and the way of texting is so new, i've never had a phone like this before.

i'm impressed by how LG can always come up with such nice designs for their phones, if their phones have all the functions that i want, i'll probably end up buying all of their phones. haha.

i personally think that i am a phone maniac, i love collecting handphones (especially those PINK ones). i am using Nokia N95 now, it's a great phone, a lot of messages can be stored, i can even create folders for my messages. BUT! it's not in PINK! i'm still waiting for Steven to find me the PINK body for my now silver and bronze coloured N95. maybe i'll not change phone after he gets me the PINK body.

for the time being,
LG KS360, stop tempting me. :)
